Award winning jazz clarinetist Steve Simon hosts the coolest jazz jam in downtown Charleston. We are excited to feature Steve Simon and the Kings of Jazz at this our next Allan Park Event. The 6-piece ensemble will feature Heather Rice, jazz vocalist.
Growing up, Lyndsey refined her love of jazz by listening to her parent’s records. The crackling vinyl albums of history’s jazz greats would spin from the family phonograph, and as the needle delicately ran along the recordings, it filled the room with waves of sound that inspired her. The music inspired Moynihan. At age five, she began training as a classical pianist and began singing years later.
Cattle in the Cane is a Charleston based trio of musicians playing energetic, traditional bluegrass and gypsy django. The ensemble is comprised of Mackie Boles on guitar and vocals, Brad Edwardson on upright bass and vocals and Aaron Firetag on mandolin and background vocals.
